Map of state of California with a star and arrow pointing to star with text "Cutler-Orosi"The communities of Cutler and Orosi are located in Tulare County, 12 miles north of Visalia and 37 miles southeast of Fresno. Cal Map Cutler-Orosi JUSD is located in the heart of agricultural abundance. The region’s top crops are table grapes, raisins, pears, plums, and citrus fruits of all varieties, corn, cotton, and alfalfa.  In addition to the plentiful crops, the dairy industry is important to the economy of Tulare County, which is the leading area in the world for dairies and milk production. These industries, along with the desirable location and the fertile soil, have drawn residents from various ethnicities and countries.

A beautiful view of the Sierra Mountains forms the background for the communities. With only a few days of rainfall each year, dry air and low humidity, Cutler-Orosi enjoys a climate that offers many near perfect days for local residents to enjoy the many recreational opportunities located nearby. Picnicking, water skiing, rafting, and fishing are readily available on the Kings River. Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon are within an hour’s drive; ski resorts are just a short drive away, and beaches are less than three hours away. With Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles all less than four hours away, Cutler-Orosi is the ideal place to call home.

The Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District offers dedicated teachers and support staff an opportunity to serve children and families in a district committed to excellence in education and to meeting the needs of all students. The District has more than 550 outstanding employees who provide quality educational services to over 4100 students. The District serves these students through its three elementary schools, one middle school, a comprehensive high school, two continuation schools, two community day schools, an adult school and an independent study school.
