Pacing calendars are developed annually. These pacing calendars:
- Set target dates for administering the District's Curriculum-embedded Formative Benchmark Assessments (generally midway through a unit) and Summative Benchmark Assessments (at the end of each unit) for Grade Level Content Standards.
- Establish a realistic time frame for instruction and assessment so that all skills assessed on the California Content Standards Tests are addressed prior to STAR assessment.
