Field Test Participation of the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California,

(ELPAC)

We are pleased to announce that our three elementary schools have been selected to participate in the state field test of the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California, the ELPAC, which will replace the current California English Language Development Test (CELDT). This is a great opportunity for our schools!

The purpose of the field test is to gather information about the design of the test and the performance of the test questions. This year’s field test is happening in specially-selected schools across California. Some English learner students in our schools have been chosen by the state to participate in this field test.

The test will be administered over a period of several days. The testing window for the field test is March 6-24. Since this is a field test, neither students, parents, nor teachers will receive individual student test scores or reports.
